Camp Green lake is like no other camp. There is no lake by the way it has been dry for the last 100 years. There are no games, no campfire stories, and no songs. You see, Camp Green Lake is a prison camp  a noughty kid detention center  and it is to Camp Green Lake that Stanley  is sent when he is mistakenly convicted of stealing. There, he must dig a hole five feet long and five feet deep every day, including Saturday and Sunday. But Stanley digs up more than just dirt. He unearths hidden secrets and past mysteries involving many characters.
